in my opinion, reliability is not alwas dependant on the car company who makes it. i base this on the fact that my parents had a 1998 ford expedition they bought brand new. they keept up on major and minor services, and didnt have any problems untill a squirl chewed through an ignition wire. they replaced the wires and all was good. the reason we dont have it any more is because my dumbass brother(he has had 5 accadents in his 5 years of driving) toatled it few months back. it had a bit over 150k with all orignal parts(except the usual tires and belts).
all of you guys who buy a secondhand car or truck and they break down-this is most likely due to the PO abusing the vehicle. i think reliability is a 50/50 split between manufacturer quality and prevenitive service.
