For those who want the cliff notes, basically Toyota engineers are going on a roadtrip across all the continents in a fleet of Toyota vehicles, and they designed this to be part if the fleet.

I hate minivans, but I'd have a hard time saying no if they offered me the keys to this. Serious levels of utility!

Kinda hideous. The flares look like an afterthought. At least the frontend is better looking than the 5th Gens redesign. :tape2:

It is a little ugly, but somehow I dig it. The approach angle is pretty salty! Considering that they had to hack up a unibody to fit on a truck frame, well, the chopped together Frankenstein look was somewhat inevitable.

That said, the idea of it I really dig. I've always liked the late 70's, short and stocky vans, that look a lot like Chevy short-wide trucks but in a van version. The idea of having that kind of interior utility but on a capable off-road chassis is something that grabs my intrigue.

On the other hand... I'd drive this. Would be great for camping and easy trail running. Horrible approach angles tho. Locking hubs look familiar?

Yeah, that thing is rad. Might be heavy at the gas pump as my DD though.... I bet it corners like a dream.
