Toytec......help please

Why dont you put the 650lb coils for the drivers side and the 600lb for the passenger? I have 3 inches of lift and my coils are set at polar opposites.

These 4Runners are terribly unbalanced. The drivers side had a gas tank, gas, battery, and a driver. This is atleast 300lbs of extra junk on one side of the car. The rear springs are set to compensate, why not your coilovers?

Mismatched coils would create a pretty big ride imbalance. No other manufacturer does that for the front because you are able to adjust the coilover up to compensate for the lean.

The only reason I ask is because my drivers side, which is cranked almost all the way up, seems to handle potholes and rough roads alot stiffer than my passenger side. I thought it could have something to do with preload but I dont imagine adding a stiffer spring wouldnt soften the ride either.

Are the rear spring installed on the correct sides. OME's are tagged A and B. The A coil goes on the driver side.

It looks to me like you have way more than 3 inches of lift here. I would try lowering it down quite a bit and see if the difference between the two side evens out

One other possibility is that the coilover is just fully extended and you are not getting any lift by cranking them up that high.

Hi Dylan!! Thanks for stopping by and checking things out.

Yes, I have an ARB bumper without a winch.
Mine probably looks like more than 3" lift because the pics were taken with the Runner up on the lift and not on the ground.
I have about 2.5" of lift in the front..
22.5" from center of hub to bottom of the fender on both sides up front.

My rear coils are Downey 3.5" HDs which have not sagged more than 1/8" in the 9 years I've had them. I have your Bilstein 5125 shocks on the rear as well.

My coilovers measure the same height on both sides after putting approx. 4000 km's on them without adjustments since Toytec sent them, and I plan on having them that way.lol!

Right now both sides measure at 24 1/4 hub-fender with the ARB bumper. More like 24.5" to the actual fender and not the fender flares. My cb boots look fine with the flutes not rubbing.
