Toytec Ultimate Coilover Install Roadblock

Any reason why the shock hole and the shock holder (not sure on correct names) wouldnt line up after shocks/coils are in place?
Doing the Toytec Ultimate Coilover on a 2016 Trial no kdss

Not sure if i removed the lower aluminum stock spring seat that toytec says too so not sure if that is my problem.

You able to provide some pictures of whats going on, this will help people to better understand the issues you are experiencing.

Looks to me like you just need to pry the lower control arm down a little bit and slide the bolt through. Make sure your lower control arm bolts are loosened to allow the arm to swing down easier.

Or back off the top adjuster collar to essentially lower the lift height of the coilover assembly. Then once it's installed you can crank it back up to where you want it.
 
thats whats weird i have two floor jacks and I am using the second one to push up on the control arm to try and pop it in place.

Could i have too much thread showing on the adjustable?? I only have an inch... (i skip the jokes for now).
 
The problem is that your control arm needs to come down. Putting a jack under the control arm is pushing it up in the wrong direction. Try prying the control arm down with a long prybar to line up the holes.

This. It can be a pain in the ass. I've done three of these lifts now and this part always slows me up on one side or the other.
 
Thanks for the replys everyone... got the neighbor to help thread the bolt while i pushed everything into place!

Glad you got it figured out! Let's see some final install pictures if you get the chance. I will be installing the same ultimate set up on my truck in the near future.
 
If you have to ever do it again, using the long prybar and a long, strong tapered punch to help line up the holes makes it even easier.

The threads on those lower mounting points are strong as hell. I beat the piss out of the very first one I installed, lol. The tapered punch makes them go in MUCH easier....I should have mentioned it before whoops :-)
 
I had the same problem. For anyone else doing this especially by yourself. Take a sharpie and put a mark on the lower control arm cam bolts to index them and then just loosen them up a little, it doesn't take much and the lower control arm drops to the floor. No struggling to get the coil overs in. Mine didn't move off the index marks, so just had to tighten up when done. Very easy.

What's the point in making reference marks? After a lift install you need to realign anyhow making the marks irrelevant since you are no longer at stock geometry....

I've used a long punch as well, helps get the hole lined up and then follow through with the bolt. second pair of hands is usually the best bet tho.
