Toytec with 285/70/17 Duratrac

Can anybody else with this setup (tt ultimate lift and duratrac 285) comment on their experience? Uca, no uca, installation experience and complications (I.e. brake line or diff issues), and end result? Are the rear springs stout enough to prevent sag while towing a couple hundred pounds of tongue weight? Performance and ride on and offroad?

While I don't have the TT Ultimate, my lift is similar.

I'd recommend UCAs right off the bat if you can afford it. It will get your alignment back in spec and the truck is going to handle better on the road. You will also want them to adjust your caster to +4.0* to avoid rubbing the 285s on the body mount.

You won't need extended brake lines.

I installed the TT Diff Drop, but I don't think it's a true requirement.

The rear springs are stiffer than stock, so they'll have less sag, but if you're going to tow a lot, look into OME Med or Heavy Duty rear springs.

Can't comment on the ride, as I have a different setup.

The only issue I had was rubbing on the front fender and the body mount. You can do without the UCA's for awhile, but if you have the money to dish out, I say go for it. Get a body mount chop done too if you want the ride to be perfect.
