Toytech spacer lift question

I did a search and read every post I could find about Toytech but did not find what I was looking for. Can anyone tell me how much lift they got from the 2" or 2.5" front spacer. The reason I ask is that I had a Daystar 2.5" lift on my 03 4runner and actually got a little more than 3" out of it. I want to lift my new 4runner 2.5" in front and 1.5" in the rear. No more lift is wanted. The reason I am asking about Toytech is that is what my Toyota dealer installs and uses. I am not interested in the coil over/spacer debate as I have experience with both. The spacer lift I had on my 03 did everything I need. I just need a little more clearance in the rocks and love my xreas on the street. If the dealer in my town installs the lift they warrant everything just like it was not installed. They want $959 parts/install/align which is high but they say it cost more because of the xreas. I used to do all my own work but I am retired and do not really care to do the work anymore. My occupation was equipment maintenance in a factory and I was a licensed aircraft mechanic so I can wrench but just can not get excited about it anymore other than simpler things. I just would like to know if anyone has made before and after measurements on the Toytech spacer lifts (2" spacer=2" lift not 3" etc.) . I also see the toytech spacer goes on top of the spring itself and not the strut assembly where my old Daystar had a spacer on the spring and another on the strut assembly. Not sure how I feel about this.

I'll answer what I can.

Your old Daystar system is better IMO. I prefer to space the entire coil over assembly vs. preload the coil spring and install a small spacer on top of the assembly.

The pricing your dealer is giving is fair because they have to disassemble the entire strut to install the spacer. With XREAS, you have to remove the lines correctly so that it doesn't leak or allow air into the system.

The Daystar installation would only require you to install the top spacer, as I'm sure you already know. Therefore, you do not have to remove the XREAS lines while working on the strut. You can simply install the spacer on top while the lines are connected.

As far as the height differences are concerned; you're just going to have to order a 2.5" lift and hope for a 2.5" lift. Chances are, it will be really close. But ride height differs from vehicle to vehicle from the factory so it won't be any different after you lift it.
