TR4 lift points for a pit lift

Just got a new TR4 2005 4X SR5 V6 Titanium. Love it! Just found this group and have had looked around quite a bit. I plan to do all of the future maintenance on it. I have a hydraulic pit lift and am trying to get some help from more knowledgeable members on the best way to lift the TR4. For all other cars I have had on the lift, I just used the recommended lift points on the frame. The TR4 has a recommended front frame lift point but uses the rear axle as the rear lift point. Before I start experimenting and screw up I would like to know if anyone has experience on where to lift in the rear.

The 4R still has a proper body on frame construction. As a general rule you can lift these vechiles anywhere on the main frame rails (the rails running fron to rear) bentween the front and rear axles.

You will see a nice crossmember by the transmission in the front, I use the main frame rail just in frnt of it to lift. In the rear you will see the axle link mounting point on the frame rail. I use the frame just in front of it. do it on both sides, sorry it's better to be clear sometimes :)

This way you have 4 really strong lift points that will easily support the truck's weight.

You can use the axle in the rar to lift, but it is not nearly as stable as the frame. There is also a lift point by the front axle, a support brace in the skidplate actually will make sure you get to the crossmember. It is however tricky and I would not recommend it unless you are familiar with it.

Thanks bulldog-yota! I'll poke around under it this weekend
