Traction control wierdness

Hi all -

I picked up a 2010 SR5 4WD last night. Almost as nice as the 1992 SR5 Pickup I owned many years ago, but with much more in the way of electronics and features...

Here's a dilema I need your help with. I have a sloped driveway. If I am in the driveway, in "D", and I let the foot off of the brake and then apply some gas (to pull into the garage), the traction control system activates, and the "launch" is a "soft one" until the traction control system turns off. This happens even if I turn the traction control system off. There's also some wierd clicking noises that come from the front end of the vehicle. This also happens if I shift the vehicle into 4WD High.

I am not familiar enough with the vehicle to know if this is normal. Does anyone have some information to help me out?

Most likely that is HAC kicking in.
You must have a really steep driveway!
I don't think there is a way to turn it off and it's normal.

Let it go long enough and it beeps at you as you roll back. You'll be hearing lots more o' clicking noise's n' stuff in the weeks to come.
