I own 2 4Runners. A '97 and a '95. The '95 motor has about 10,000 miles on it and I have all the paperwork for it showing this plus every single receipt for every single thing ever done to the '95. I am not the original owner of either. But the original owner of the '95 was an excellent record keeper and I bought it from him. Both run fine. The '95 needs a tune-up because it has been sitting for so long. I found it sitting for over a year in someone's backyard and made him an offer. It is in really great condition inside except some idiot ripped out the stereo but I am working on that. I just drove it to have it smogged and it passed. I had to have a new catalytic converter put on it and it passed with it. The '97 is the one I drive on a daily basis and it has some aesthetic issues. First, the tailgate got shot with a .357 three times which broke out the back window and made the tailgate have issues opening. We got it to open and close from the inside, but it needs work and obviously new glass. The front seats need to be reupholstered or replaced. It has 157,000 miles on it and runs like a top. It really does. I would like to trade both of the 4Runners for 1 newer 4-Runner. I am not dead-set on any particular year, but I want something clean, well-maintained that I don't have to put any work in on. Both of mine need TLC and someone who wants to make them a hobby. The '95 needs paint and a little body work. It looks like someone hit the rear bumper and it looks like it is falling off. (Just being honest.) There were a lot of spiders in the engine compartment when I towed it out of the backyard, but she started right up!!! (as soon as I put a new battery in it, of course.) Both have new batteries. My husband recently put new shocks on the '97 and new points and plugs? I also just put 4 new tires on the '97 at Les Schwab. I can post pictures of both of them. The '97 is that Tanzanite purple-ish blue color. The '95 is the stock forest green color with those stripes on the sides. I don't know what else you would like to know about them. If anybody is remotely interested, please email me and I will answer all of your questions to the best of my ability. My husband is not around to answer questions for a couple of days, but I can get ahold of him and get back to you. I'm not in a hurry and I am willing to do whatever as far as having everything checked out mechanically etc. I am trying to make a fair and equitable trade here and I know that most of you make these vehicles your hobby so I though I might try this forum.
