Trails come with rim's measuring 17×7.5 as standard for all tires and spare

Tires vary in true size by OEM's but I cant think of any 285/70R17's not fitting - not sure what size you are looking for - just picked a common one

Right, but I believe what he is asking is, would an SR5 and limited come with a 17x7.5 spare wheel as well? I'd think they would even though their normal wheels are only 7" wide.

well, I know the limited come with 20 inch rims for a spare. I'm 100 percent sure b/c my buddy has a limited, and I checked it out. So if limited and trail editions come with matching spares to their trim level rims, then I would think that sr5 and pro's come with 17x7 inch rims for spares, just to keep the electronic gizmo's happy.

But I could be wrong, lol.

Yes to what Mr Blah said. You need the spare to match the rim in offset and width. When you have to use it you want a tire that matches the others. Plus you want to have a spare with a matching tire so you can swap it out to the stock rim whenever you replace one tire.

Yes, the Limited does come with a 20 inch spare. it is a weird color so you can tell which one is the spare.

Stock TRD wheel with 285/70/17R Nitto TG tire fits under there but just barely.

Our new '16 Trail came with Goodyear Duratracs fitted but with the standard oem spare. We had a Duratrac fitted on the spare, no problem, except for the $$ it cost. Still have the oem spare for sale, cheap. - Ted.
