Yes all the parts below are what you need to do the hood w/ scoop conversion.

#1: 53301-35210 Hood w/ scoop: $354

#18: 76181-35902 Scoop insert: $77.54
(Should already come with the plastic clips #23 & #24 (no need to order), mine did when I ordered the Scoop insert)

#19: 76182-35080 Scoop Guide: $15.35

#20: 76183-35030 Scoop protector: $1.14
(Should be (2) small felt strips in the package)

#21: 76183-35040 Scoop protector: $1.14
(Should be (2) long felt strips in the package)

#22: 76185-35030 Scoop protector: $2.02
((1) long felt strip)

#26: 90080-17189 Scoop Nuts (4) qty (4 x $1.46): $5.84

Thanks so much!! I'm wondering if I could just have my shop cut the damn hole in my current hood, would split the difference in hood cost and save me on paint, though they'd probably want to re-paint again.

You can't just cut the hood for the scoop insert. The hood w/ scoop has the scoop hump stamped in the metal. See the differences below

I've had mine since Dec, so granted, a lot of my driving has not been when it's super sunny. Though in eastern WA state we've had a ton of sun the last couple months and I have literally not seen any glare on it as of yet. we'll see how it is the rest of the summer.

Well I do have to admit, I experienced glare for the first time (driven this rig from dec-present). It was annoying, But only lasted a little bit while I headed in one direction. Once I turned it was fine.

Back in the 60's when the muscle car was born there were lots of cars that had hood scoops of different sizes and functions. The glare issue is not new and to solve it then, many painted their scoops a flat color to cut the glare. Just a thought!

More air into the intake box maybe.
However, getting more air just into the engine compartment will pressurize it and counter the air flow from the front to the back of the radiator, rendering your cooling less effective.

Jayhat, I'm in Spokane and if that glare ever gets too annoying let me know and I'll trade you for my superwhite non-scoop sr5-p hood!

Experienced the dreaded hood scoop glare for the first time today...I kind of dismissed it before and thought "how bad could it be?" It's pretty bad.

I was trying to do the same for my SR5 Premium. No luck. Only cheap looking after market parts. If you find something that looks decent similar to the TRD, please post it. I think it is more for looks.

I experienced the glare for the first time the other day, driving west into the sun at about 7 p.m., when the sun was 10-15º off the horizon. Polarized sunglasses didn't help.

I could see it getting annoying if my commute took me along a westward route at the same time every evening, but I can live with it being an occasional thing.
