This has been done before on earlier 5th gen years. The way to go is find someone who wants to trade. Then you're set except for maybe the color. Buying new is expensive. I think you have to buy the hood and insert separate and have the kit to join them. First check if it's doable (see if they will fit) and go from there.

You can buy the hood from eBay. Mine came from there. The "scoop guts" came from a website that sells toyota parts. Painting it will be expensive. My dad bought the hood and painted it for me as a Xmas present. His hobby is restoring old cars, so this was a piece of cake for him. It will probably run you about $1000 for the parts and professional painting.
