Trail wheels on 3rd gen. Thoughts and opinions.

I swapped out my TRD PRO wheels and put them of my wifes 5th gen. 16 Trail wheels with 275 KO2's. They need to be blacked out for sure. Kinda want some FN wheels with 315's.

On the fence of the look. Lets here some opinions. Anyone else running trail wheels on there 3rd gen?

I love them, and I've gotten many compliments on mine. Don't black them out. Black wheels look cheap in my opinion. If you want black wheels I say buy black aftermarket ones. Just my opinion though, do whatever pleases you. Here's my rig with the trail wheels.

Looks good. What size tires are you running? Any spacers?

Everyone does black rims/white truck. The stock color looks pretty sweet. Matches the trim too.

You could always black the rims in photoshop for a better comparison.

The top two pictures I'm on 255/80/17, skinny 33's. The bottom one I'm on 255/75/17, a 32" tire. 1.25" spacers all around in all of the pics.

YES: Trails look damn good on a 3rd gen. I'd love a set myself but I'll stick with my 5-stars.
NO: Don't black them out. That trend needs to die, IMO.

Those are some of my favorite wheels from Toyota. I have a set on my wife's 4th gen and I'd love a set for my 3rd. Trying to get them from her but she wont give them up! LOL

I put my TRD PRO wheels on my wifes 5th gen cause she wanted a TRD PRO look for hers.

Nice. Are you running a body lift? Wanting to put 315's on mine. Did you have to run wheel spacers?

I am not sure I like the stock front bumper look as much as with an ARB or the like. Still mulling it over.

My brother's friend has five Toyo AT3 with 5,000 miles on them for less than $90 each in a 265/75/16 size.
