Hi all, tomorrow i am going to go purchase a parts 1999 4runner. the guy selling to me said it doesnt run, so my problem is that i do not have a winch to get the truck onto the trailer. I know i could use a come along but just wondering if that is the best way or not. Just trying to think of maybe an easier way to load it, I've used a come along to load a 1992 toyota pick up once and it wasnt fun. but any ideas or tips would be appreciated.

Do you have AAA or another roadside assistance membership? You can just call for a tow, should be free if it's not too far.

Even if you have to pay it may be worth it. Were you planning on renting a trailer to tow it?

air up the tires, make sure the brakes work, load downhill if possible, have some help- its too unsafe for just one person, use a good come-a-long. I have loaded a few this way and it does not have to be really difficult.
