Trailer Pig

Looking to either build my 1971 C10 Step-side into my trailer pulling truck for my 4R when it comes to long hauls. Other part of me is thinking selling the C10 and get a Suburban or Tahoe with a blown engine and throw in a TBI 350 I have. Trailer will be a 16-18" car hauler with wood deck, tandem axle, probably single axle brakes. Any input on the matter would be much appreciated.

Why not 6.0L or 5.3L 3rd gen ? the 5.3 will give you better mpg and is more powerfull than the 350tbi

Advise for your trailer. I personally would use dual axle brakes for that size trailer w/weight on it.

I already have the engine sitting in my shop, and trying to stay pretty low budget. I will only really drive the suburban (if I go that route) when I am pulling a trailer. Other than that it will probably just sit at my shop.
