When I saw the first pics with just the rear done, I was thinking "Holy RAKE!!! Batman!"

But then you got the front done, and it all flows perfectly.

I noticed you left the extended studs installed in your shock's top plate (looks like you had a spacer lift up front @ some point). Why didn't you swap them out for the stock studs while you had it all apart?

Like the others said, your 4Runner looks awesome, and the new suspension setup makes it just that much sweeter.

haha yeah it was fun riding around town with all that rake for a day. And thanks very much, i love the look of it all..and as for the extended studs, you are correct, they are from a spacer lift and I wish I still had the stock studs cause I would have changed em out. Guess they got lost after doing the first lift 2 years ago..

I'm loving the ride and look of the new setup though! Thanks for following!

i like what you are doing with this! looks good tires look good!

Thanks man! Fell into some tax return money so was able to do the front suspension instead of spacers haha.

Im loving the ride height!

Nice build, where did you get the TOYOTA emblem? I need one for my build.

Got it at a junk yard for 5 bucks! Then painted it up! I see em on eBay occasionally...

Looking back on the transformation.

I hear ya on the maintenance... If I had NOT done maintenance on mine that needed to be done, I'd probably have a cool front bumper & some armor. But fancy bumpers & armor do me no good if I'm sitting on the side of the road broke down! Haha! All that other stuff will come in time for me.

Keep up the good work!

Why have I just now seen your build thread??? Man its a night and day difference with the new lift!! You have an uncanny ability to make me spend money you know!! Now I must get a lift!!

the tire size has a lot to do with it. my runner "appeared" taller when i was running 265/75/16.

btw, nice progress trailhead!

Nicely done Trailhead! Been a while since I've checked out your build thread, let alone spend much time on the boards. Too much too do, not enough time. Keepin me away from the boards the past few months. Looking good though. I 2nd ya on the maintenance. Been doing plenty of that this past 6 months. Put a MAJOR pause on my build but what are you gonna do... Got a laundry list of things to go but hopefully by summer she'll be ready to roll. Going through this again makes me want to plasti dip my bumpers now...

Thanks man! And yeah..its been awhile for me too. As far as maintenance..i wanna do the lbj's, tranny cooler or radiator, gotta replace some bushings pretty bad. Im sure im not thinking of other stuff at the moment...and btw you should plasti dip your bumpers, i think it would look GREAT on your rig.

Sooooooo......pretty big update. Should ha e done this sooner but I have been busy with this project. Some of you may or may not know my white rig is a 2WD. I didn't pick it out...it was just a nice set of wheels to get around in for college. Well I'm in the process of swapping all my stuff over to my very own 4WD!!!

I will be buying it from my girlfriends family, so they are letting me swap everything over and then let me sell mine in order to buy theirs.

Specs on the new one:
96 Sunfire Red SR5 4X4
153k miles.
Day I got it

Gave it a much needed clay bar and wax.

Pretty happy with it all. Love the red more than I ever thought I would!

thanks fightman..im glad too. I wasn't itching for a 4wd THAT bad until the opportunity came to me...then I really wanted it haha.

Sweet. I bet youre getting a pretty good deal too. So what are going to do with the 2wd now? Ive always liked it

Yeah....I think I'm getting the red one for 3800ish. The white one is gonna be for sale very soon, its in great shape..98 sr5 146k miles, so I'm hoping to get a decent price for it.

I'm going to have the same lift once Toytech gets their springs in stock. I've been toying with 32's or 33's. Sadly, I really don't want to drop mileage even more to go with 33's and your truck (s) are helping sell me on 32's!

Looks great.
