Guys I've been shopping for a 2009 model for my sister who lives in mountain country - Blue Ridge. I had thought a 2009 would be the most refined of the 4th gens but from reading a lot it seems something changed in the transmission programming that irritates a lot of owners. We have 2 4th gens in the family already; I drive a 07 and my son/family an 08. Neither has transmission "problem" but they downshift when decelerating, and do so well. Non-intrusive, not an issue. Reading about 2009 complaints, the Tranny seems to hunt for gear at low speed and responds with a thud in the rear.
what changed? is it only 4wd or 2wd that exhibit the issues?
