Transmission Flush at 120K?

NOW, what fluid do I use, and where are the drain/fill plugs, AND how much does the tranny take?

Fluid is up to you, I use Mobil 1 Synthetic ATF.
The Drain plug is at the bottom of the trans pan, cant miss it.
You don't need a new drain plug, just washer (can get from autozone/dealer).
The Fill is the transmission dipstick tube.
Since you are doing Drain and Fill, you wont be emptying all the trans fluid, so you want to fill until dipstick indicates you are at the correct level.

Do you happen to know if the factory fluid is or is not compatible with synthetic and/ or any reg ATF?

I believe they are compatible as long as you use an oil with the correct specs (Dexron II/III i believe), but I am not 100% certain

According to my friend that sells parts at Toyota the 3rd Gens take regular Dexton III, so that's what I put in mine.

Had mine flushed at 115k miles with Mobil1. Was great before, even better now. Only been drained and filled by dealer before. Always have my auto's flushed, just choose a garage with the right machine. I always use one that allows the trans to pump out its own and pulls new in. No pressure type. Never a problem. But it's your choice Good luck!
