transmission temp gauge/monitoring

I had to get a ScanGauge!

The HP gauge is load of fun, it ain't right but it's off in the right direction -
says I'm laying down 309hp :trophy:

i think you can adjust the HP in the settings

reviving a really old thread

Just had a pioneer 8200 NEX + Maestro RR installed and I was hoping for a transmission temp reading but it doesn't seem to read through the connections.

Has anyone been successful with this? I have a 2010

Guessing:

I think the scangauge uses the OBD ii port for reading data such as trans temps. If the 8200 pulls data from that port (I doubt it, but let us know), then it should be able to read the trans temp.

Correct, 8200 connects to Maestro RR, Maestro RR has a OBD II connection that interfaces with pioneer 8200.

I asked [MENTION=68685]Ducmonsta[/MENTION] about this and he suggested to unplug/re plug the OBD II connection of the Maestro RR

Need to watch this, just hooked up a Maestro RR to my Kenwood on a 2006 GX470, trying to get trans temp to display.

I can coolant temps, EGT, intake temps, battery voltage, TPMS, throttle positions, air fuel mixture, engine load, avg and Instant mpg and few others.

On Friday I got a call from my installation shop, great guys and they received a Facebook post or email that iDatalink was going to work on getting transmissions temps added to the 4Runner, let's hope they come through with this.

I have a GX470 and they dont show a program or set up for my truck, so we used the 4Runner set up and it seems to work good.

Pretty sure there isn't any EGT sensor on the 5th Gen 4Runner. They might using the Catalyst Temperature. Definitely not the same thing.

That what we think, if scan gauge can read then so should Maestro
