Most people put in a cooler for three reasons:
1. To bypass the radiator to eliminate any chance of the "pink milkshake"
2. To reduce transmission temperatures while towing
3. To reduce excess heat and stress caused by a turbo/supercharger
If you are concerned about any one of the three then I would recommend putting on a transmission cooler on. If you still have the stock radiator on there I would also recommend bypassing the radiator completely. Mine's currently in the mail since the temperatures are really warming up here in California. The previous owner fried the original transmission 3 years ago because of the supercharger, so I know it's putting out too much heat.
If you haven't seen it yet this thread has lots of info:

If you put a cooler on, there's really no need to put in a gauge since it will be much cooler in temperature than stock.
All the info is much appreciated, I actually have already installed my cooler to eliminate pink milkshake possibility which is why now i'm wondering if it was the right size, did I get the lines in the right spots (send at top return at bottom cooler ports) ect. I used that thread for my install and I agree everything should be better than stock but it's just a lot on the line if something isn't working right.
