Because certain governors just threw up their hands and said 'We surrender' instead of fighting with an appropriate strategy?
I've never seen so many so willing to throw a percentage of fellow Americans under the bus because it was 'too hard to control'.

The statistics are being manipulated, plain and simple. Not denying there is a virus. If you had read the research paper I posted you would see the testing is flawed, hence the rise in cases, which most of them are A-symtematic. I also surmise that admissions to hospitals are all being listed as covid no matter what the ailment. But data for that is not available because the medical community cannot speak out for fear of dismissal and reprisal. It's OK to protest but not go to work or church? Hmmmm....
I am unemployed from a high travel industry, with hundreds of people being exposed to people from all over the world, and I still don't know anyone that has even gotten sick let alone tested positive. At first it was supposed to be a month to flatten the curve, now all summer?
And our death statistics are normal for an average year. If you quote MSM and other Gates funded sources of statistics, you will not sway my opinion. But I have seen neither from you. Just random comments over the past few months. Even if you have read any of my links, judging by your avatar picture I will not sway your opinion either. So this is my last post. This thread will end up getting closed anyway. Happy Sunday!

If it is a conspiracy to manipulate numbers, then it is a world-wide conspiracy. To what end?

The US death clock is numbers being recorded as they happen. The covid statement is a disclaimer because they can't differentiate from what each actual cause of death is in the overall statistics for the year. You can find covid numbers anywhere, but heart attacks, strokes, and cancer deaths are non existent. Why is that? Not everyone has died of covid or we would all be sick. All I'm stating is that we are right at our average of death statistics for the year. The 4th column states deaths so far for 2020. If you notice, the clock goes up as your watching it.
It's no secret they want to sell a vax, and the pharms have won as it is because they have enough people scared to death to run right out and get a vax. Bill Gates foundation is interested in population control. I am woke to this fact. Are you? They have been experimenting on the poor folks in Africa for 10 years or more. Non MSM story I do not personally know anyone who has died or has gotten sick. In case you missed it here is the link about testing. Testing is flawed by it's sheer nature. You cannot validate the RNA particles required in each test subject to completely rule out a false positive. It is a long read that most people just glance over. Why were the recovering infected elderly put into nursing homes when there were plenty of beds available in make shift hospitals and the Navy hospitals deployed on both coasts. That is by design to generate more POSSIBLE exposure, hence more cases claimed in a population on the verge of death anyway.
And why is HCQ being held back as an early or preventative treatment? The claims that it is unsafe were proven false and retracted. How many people have died because of this. I will never deny that there is a virus. But the numbers are being skewed to keep us locked down. That reason is your guess as good as mine. I have provided information to state my opinion, so if you actually review it, you will understand my position. This is not some conspiracy theory on my part. I have done some research, unlike a lot of people who spout false claims on both sides of this.
I remember a discussion I had with you back at the end of 19' about an unrelated subject and it went no where. So you have your opinions and I have mine and I will leave it at that. Thank you for your interest. Good Day.

I'd normally be happy to show you stats about COVID-19 deaths, but they come from credible sources so you wouldn't be interested.
By the way, you do what the word "estimate" means, right? The disclaimer on the site you posted is very clear. They make estimates based on pre-COVID data. Accordingly, that says nothing about how COViD-19 affects the fatality rate.

Yes I do know what estimate means and the fact that every model has been readjusted in one way or another got me doing research. I would be glad to see your credible sources. Did you read the research paper about testing? My point of all of this is you can quote statistics and I can quote statistics, and I think they are being manipulated. I was a firm believer in the stay at home order until the powers that be started flipping on all of their recommendations. Masks don't work, a week later they do. Millions will die, and a month later that study was rescinded. A month to flatten the curve, now it's all summer, how convenient. The fact remains only 4% of the population has died from Covid according to the death clocks numbers, which I feel are skewed. Where are the other causes of death? Can you provide me with a solid figure of say heart attack deaths with out Covid being involved? I can't find any numbers not tainted with Covid statistic anywhere. I feel they are all being lumped together to bolster the overall Covid numbers. Which like the testing is flawed. My last post was referring to any exchange with the poster before you because he has a history of not providing anything concrete. And one thing I have NOT done is insult people through all of this. So waiting for your credible sources.....and I still refuse to insult anyone. Because I do research......

Here are some different statistics from an official source. Like we discussed in that other thread, the stats are dated because they wait for them to be verified.
Cause of Death is a difficult thing to define with certainty with a few exceptions - mainly accidental death (getting hit by a semi, for example). Any other death is often caused by something that cannot be defined.
The 5th leading cause of death is Alzheimer's. Fact is, Alzheimer's doesn't kill people, it is usually an infection that kills an Alzheimer patient. My dad had Alzheimer's and ultimately died from a Urinary Tract Infection. But for the Alzheimer's, he wouldn't have gotten the UTI/Pneumonia or the multitude of other infections that come with the complications from Alzheimer's.
For that matter, if an Alzheimer's patient wanders in front of semi, is the cause of death "accidental" or "Alzheimer's"
The same holds true for most other chronic diseases - did a patient die of cancer/HIV/whatnot or pneumonia?
This is the difference with COViD-19. If a patient with hypertension or diabetes catches COVID-19, ends up on a ventilator and dies, did they die of the underlying condition or COViD-19? Here, I'd have to say that it depends on the patient's condition pre-COVID. If COVID caused the patient to end up in hospital, on a ventilation and ultimately dead, then COViD killed them.
