TRD 1.3 bar radiator cap

Has anyone used the 1.3bar radiator cap vs the 1.1bar stock radiator cap? Since my 4Runner lives in FL and takes trips to NM/AZ I am always looking fir ways to keep temps in check.

It may help a little bit but may not, enough for the long haul. If I was you, I would look(Longevity wise of course) into an aftermarket Rad.

I had one on my TRD Taco.. The radiator cap that is :biggrin1:

Cooling system is in good condition right now. My temps are always good (monitored on ultra gauge) I just want sure if allowing a higher pressure ie higher boing point in the system (pressure adjusted) would be worth the $40 for the cap.

My cooling system is working well. So i am not sure if playing with it is smart, but i guess i always wanting a reduction in temps if possible.

I don't think it would change temps, only raise the boiling point of the coolant. You would still be putting the same amount of heat into the coolant and still be removing the heat at the same rate via the radiator and fan.
