TRD Coil vs. OME 881 Front Lift

This is an list of the parts I used.....
Tundra TRD Coils:
Left Coil Part Number: 48131-AF100 Y/Y
Right Coil Part Number: 48131-AF090 Y/B
Tundra TRD Bilstein 5100 Shocks:
Front Part Number: 24-188265
Rear Part Number: 24-100144
Old Man Emu 906 springs
Tundra Coil Spring Isolators Monroe P/N 907926
Energy Suspension 9.8108G 3/4" Hourglass Shock Eye Bushing
Used the post below to install in the rear shocks....

The install wasn't to bad. Just getting the front struts in was pretty tough since they were 2" longer. Also had to take out and reposition the front coil so the upper ball joint didn't contact the spring at full droop. I ended up turning the lower spring perch outward toward the wheel to get the clearance needed.
I mainly followed Speedy's thread on gathering the parts and the install. Lots of good info here.

The rears have no adjustment. Could just be the picture but I have just under 0.5” of forward rake.

Thats what mine are set at. I might be bumping them up as my bumper has caused the front to settle a little.

A little late to the party but I loved my TRD front coils. They gave ma about 1.75" of lift.
It usually turns out that the biggest thing that people complain about (when they are talking about how stiff the springs are) is actually the OME shocks that they used. The Bilsteins ride great.

I've had the same TRD/906/5100 set up for two months and I find there is a very "wobbly", lack of dampening feeling in the front end. Alignment is good but the instability is starting to bother me enough that I am thinking of going the OME route.
The TRD 906 has been great off road but for my daily driver I decent handling and I find the TRD/906 worse than stock. All my sway bar bushings etc check out, Anyone else have this issue?

I'm going on 7months on mine and have zero complaints. Feels pretty solid with as much "wobble" you would expect from a lifted truck. Never feels unstable though. I drive mine everyday when i'm not riding my motorcycle.
I have thought about moving the front's up one perch on the shocks and changing to 890's in the rear.....for a little more height.

Hi new to thread and just want to thank you all on the great information. I am thinking of doing your exact set up and just want to know after months of use if you would make any changes? I use mine as a daily driver and tow a 18 ft boat once a month but that is about it for towing. Want a lift like yours but want it to ride nice and smooth. Been researching for a while now and glad I finally found your set up with out costing thousands. Thanks!

Yes, you can use the stock springs on the 5100's

Awesome thread. Thanks for the details. Time for new shocks and springs on my '00 4Runner. Question for clarification. You have Tundra TRD Billstein 5100s in all corners, Tundra TRD Coils up front and Old Man Emu 906 from 4Runner in rear or are the 906 for the Tundra?
