It should fit, since the engine has not changed at all for our 5th gens, including the 2018. I'm actually in the same boat for my 2017 TRD off road.

Buying an SR5P and adding all TRD Pro parts so I figured add the CAI while I'm at it.

the TRD Pro doesn't come with it, in fact.

i have it in my 16 trail. ordered parts separately and it ended up being 249 shipped to the house i believe. i kept the factory filter element because i didn't want an oiled filter. that will save you some $. i figure eventually i will switch it out with an afe dry element when I'm ready for a new one.

I did not do any computer work. Pretty sure it will learn the new parameters. You feel a little more power, not a lot, but it seemed to gain a little pep. Not sure if anyone has followed up, but the TheWraith's dyno runs are the only documented TRD CAI gains I know of.

I "feel" like its a little more powerful, but that may be just from the increased sound when accelerating. The noise once you get over 3,000 RPM or so and up is worth it alone

I didn't touch the computer. After going in it averaged about 13 MPG for one tank or so before getting itself re calibrated, then I noticed about a 1.5 MPG bump up over what I had been previously at.

and Toyota dealers seem clueless and say the TRD CAI system is not even available for my 2016 T4R ...what system did you end up using in your vehicle? any lifter noise coming through ? and did you also change out your stock muffler to something with higher flow ?

I got the TRD CAI. Had to untape one wire for a sensor that is taped together in a conduit with a few others to get enough length for it to plug into its new location. Otherwise it was entirely bolting off and on.

Not sure what lifter noise is. Did not change the muffler.

I bought TRD parts from Camelbak Toyota and wire loom, vacuum hose, silicon spray, silicon paste, zip ties from AUTOZONE & O'REILLY.

Mine was about $250 shipped and it did not come with the filter.

No not in my experience, my dyno showed 12hp and 23lb tq. I don't post it because there are way to many forum jockeys saying things based on what they heard, if that. I guess people can say the same by me not posting it but I really don't care to argue about it anyway.

Do you mean you also pieced yours together from universal components, or the TRD w/o filter was 250?
