How difficult is the install? I am not the best guy with a wrench and I don't want to get over my head....I saw on one video you need to splice some of the tubing to free up some wires to reroute them...but then I saw another poster say that you didn't need to do that at all

I am running it on my 16 Trail. Looks great, I 100% notice a performance improvement, and the sound is cool (but you don't notice it unless you're flooring it >4500 RPM).
Install was easy and it comes with instructions. The Wire Loom Splicing is simple if you know how to use a pair of scissors and a roll of tape. The only challenging part is getting the silicone couplers to slide together so make sure you have some silicon spray to help it slide together. On the 2016 we have the AIR system, so there is a zip tie that we don't use in the instructions. Also, one of the mounting bolts for the new lower box either needs a spacer, or don't use it at all. I just didn't use the 3rd bolt because 2 bolts is plenty.
I bought my kit off ebay for around $400.
