Limited to Trail front bumper conversion soon to happen! Found a sweet deal. Brand new front bumper cover from a 2018, hardware that came with it, the reinforcement bracket, and even the fender liners for $450!

Quick question - I still have to get the bumper painted blizzard pearl since this is a super white bumper and I want to get the valance painted black. I believe the base coat for the blizzard pearl paint is super white? Should I just prep it by sanding the surface clear coat and letting the body shop spray blizzard pearl paint on it? Or is there any other kind of prep I should do. Also same for the valance, should I prep it somehow and what is the actual color code for the black paint that the black trd pro valance uses?

Also [MENTION=126538]2nd Chance[/MENTION], were you able to sell your limited front bumpers? Hoping to get something out of mine and will sweeten this deal even more to put towards the TRD pro garnishes!

Just got extremely lucky scouring the internet. Found it on facebook marketplace near my brother and he picked it up. Unicorn type thing. Stoked about it though. Saved some good money.

Just drop it off the body shop and have them do all the prep and paint as you want to have it done correctly.

Yes, I did as a fellow member wife had an accident and needed a complete front end so I sold him pretty much everything I took off for about $1,000. I still have the hood and rear bumper cover which will soon end up at a friends body shop.

Nevermind - I think it'll probably be like $200 to paint the damn thing. I think I'll just buy one off eBay for $200 and sell this silver valance. Perfect timing as I have $120 in eBay bucks about to process!

LOL FYI i just called my local Toyota dealer here in Vancouver, the price for every part listed in purple on the OP's chart was $3122.90. YIKES AND NO THANKS! Gotta love Canadian Prices!!! :canada::canada::canada: Anyone have any suggestions how to do this for cheaper?



If curious about some of the pricier parts this is what i was quoted for the following parts numbers (as listed on OP's very helpful diagram)



No1 = $405.10

No12 = $389.50

No14 = $201.10

No23 = $452.50

TRD Garnish = $790.00

TRD Grille Radiator UPR = 385.50

My local dealership charges $3200 to convert the trd off road to TRD Pro,appearance only.
I can’t imagine how much they will ask for converting the Ltd. Lol
Have you thought about getting an aluminum front bumper ? I personally think that’s a good alternative way to spend your hard earned way and it looks better than the pro front end.

Have you thought about getting an aluminum front bumper ? I personally think that’s a good alternative way to spend your hard earned way and it looks better than the pro front end.

I so agree with you as I wanted to do the the big off road bumpers but I didn't want to be a poser as 99.5% of the time my truck is on the road so I wanted to look stock.

If I ever start using this truck as an off road vehicle instead of one of my bikes. I am most definitely going to look into pitting an aluminum version of the front bumper and see what I can find for the rear that I would like. Maybe when my girls both go to college that will be the next chapter in life as I am not sure what I am going to do when they are both gone.

Plan would to buy something like the Southern Style Slimline Hybrid front bumper from Joe at Chi-Town 4x4 stocks them and I a try to keep as much stuff local as possible.

That bull bar looks perfect on TRD Pro bumper!
I can’t justify the price of the pro look my local dealership is asking ,so I decided to be a poser,Lol and my Ltd doesn’t see dirt at all.

What piece on the driver's side did you need to get?

My light bar came back from Rigid and the good news is they covered it under warranty.

So this was the final piece we needed to make the limited to TRD Trail front end conversion.

This on the Drivers side of the truck.

Try Cochrane Toyota in AB. They at least seem to want to be reasonable with their pricing. Any of the dealers here in the lower mainland don't appear to want to sell any parts. My local dealer, Peace Arch Toyota, quoted me $160ea for the Rav4 side mirrors. Yes, just the glass. I ended up paying $130.00 from Cochrane for BOTH!

Other option is buy from the states and ship to a post box. Conicelli Toyota has pretty good parts pricing.

Drizzie did you put those mirrors on your 4runner? pictures?

She's done! Didn't do a great job trimming the fender liner but it's fine. Maybe one day I get the ones that fit and put them in but I'm happy with it for now. Is there a good reason for the fender liner to be perfect anyway? Pretty proud of myself taking this on. Scariest part was drilling a hole for the parking sensors but it was too bad. The hardest part was taking off the old bull bar bracket. Holy moly were those screws on tight. Anyway here is the final product. The paint match isn't 100% but he also said it'd be hard to match 100% with pearls and they usually blend it. Don't feel like spending $500 on that right now. I also have the trd pro garnish minus the upper grill piece. Will recover from all the stuff I bought and get that later. Also anyone need a blizzard pearl limited front? .

You can still do the conversion! You just did one part first that I’m doing second. You haven’t lost out on anything. Do it! You won’t regret it.

Really ? Are you saying all I need is a trd front bumper now? I thought that centre chrome piece was a part of the bumper and it’s not removable.
