I realized I posted this in another thread and should have posted this here also.

So this is what it takes parts wise to make the swap the front and rear bumpers from a Trail/TRD to a Limited. There are 4 more parts that I will add tonight when I get home. Which are behind the grille ducting air into the radiator.

I am still trying to figure out if there is a lower radiator close out panel that is used when you have the TRD Skid Plate. So far we have tried two of them and neither work.

So my buddy with the TRD Pro purchased the Borla Exhaust and we installed it last week. Very easy install and now I want one. Here area couple pics of the install.


New Borla on the ground and ready to install.

Old exhaust off and in the shipping ctn.

Stock exhaust removed and it's nice to see how well Toyota protects the underside of the truck from heat.

New exhaust going in. Talk about easy.

One minor hickup with the tailpipe tip was it was extremely close to the rear garnish.

The problem solver.

All better now.

Actually I really like the front end on my truck. I originally wanted the TRD Pro in Inferno Orange however I wanted a sunroof, keyless entry, push button start and the JBL sound system which were not offered in the TRD. So the plan from the get go was to basically just do a TRD swap on my truck. I am still not sure if I am going to do the rear bumper as I really like the rear.

Still not sure if I am going to paint the lower TRD facia on the front cover silver or leave it a matte black.

I was torn between the TRD Pro and the Limited for the same reasons (plus the Limited had the rear a/c ducting and vented front seats).

I immediately thought I could just swap the front end but realized it was much more involved.

Originally, I thought it was a big deal to do the swap and honestly it was not that big of a deal. Just order the parts have them painted and you can honestly
swap the parts in your garage basic metric tools.

It's actual the factory installed JBL sub and it truly sounds great.

And your going to love the canvas back just make sure you don't eat the treats.

what is the model for that sub that fits perfectly in the back of your 4runner! really like that.

I haven't installed mine yet. But I was just on the phone with my buddy Mike and I could here his as he was on the gas pretty good. It sounded really nice.

Yep, It's a factory installed box. I am sure you could buy it from them but you would also need to by the interior trim .
