Going to an off-road park would be considered abuse. So Toyota telling me to take it and enjoy the TRD Pro suspension, opens the door for me to void the warranty did to misuse or abuse. A verbal recommendation never trumps a written obligation.
Edit: missed the first bold statement. Directly from the Toyota Master Tech, who is also an off-road enthusiast. These are not "actual" Fox shocks, they are re-branded.
I disagree. I've "four wheeled" in numerous vehicles, to include being heavily involved in the Jeep Jamboree functions, and someone can most certainly enjoy their vehicle off road with "abusing" it.
As far as the shocks go, what are they re-branded as?
This is straight from Toyota concerning the shocks:
When Toyota TRD engineers designed the 2019 TRD Pro models, their goal was to deliver the next generation of off-road dominance. That's where FOX comes in. For over four decades, FOX has been leading the way with suspension products for motorcycles, ATVs, UTVs, snowmobiles, cars, trucks and SUVs. FOX-equipped vehicles and racers have stood atop podiums in every sport they competed in, from the sands of Baja to the top of Pikes Peak.
FOX took their race-bred technology and created these bypass shocks so that the 2019 TRD Pro models have a cushioned, plush ride on the road that can handle the toughest terrain.
I find it highly unlikely that FOX would let Toyota use their name on a product with it being a re-branded item.
