Trd pro lift question

Curious as to what you do, 16 TRD Pro here in Vegas as well. Let me know if you want to run some dusty trails.

The guy who helped me with this goes on runs all the time. Told him to let me know whens the next time he goes. There is a t4r group here in town, but they don't ever seem to meet up so most of the time he goes with the FJs. I can let you know when I go to meet up with them.

Sounds great, Im off every weekend and looking to get some run runs in. Still trying to take it easy, not sure I want to replace bumpers with only 2k miles on the car.

Here's a side view of the lift with original wheels. I don't think it looks bad, but would probably look better with 285s. We'll see what the prices are on black Friday.

FYI. Icons are the only way to go. For trd pro suspension, for what they are, they are pretty good from what I read about despite the fact it doesn't lift it much. Do what I did, install a toytec spacer in the front which will raise it about an inch and buy some Spidertrax wheel spacers. 36 3/4' front and 37' rear. Only a 1/4 inch of rake in the front. I'm happy with no rubbing.

Nice name btw, I trained in Shaolin for a couple years when I was younger. Anyhow, my spidertrax were just delivered, but I really didn't want to trim the fender liners if possible. I also want to add the 3/4 top spacer to basically level it out also. My question is, did you install the spacer and spidertrax at the same time or one before the other? I want to install the spidertrax this weekend, but if it means no rubbing with the top spacer, I will just order that and wait to do it all at once. Thanks for your help, you've got a solid set up going on so far!

I put the toytec spacer in first and didn't like how the tires looked so skinny so I got some Spidertrax spacers and put those on. I'm driving my pro daily and I haven't rubbed at all or to the point I even notice but it does get fairly close at full lock.

I'm 100% sure you will rub bad without a toytec spacer in the front.

simonsay can you post a pic of the entire front coilover assembly. I'm interested in seeing what the bottom spring perch looks like.

You remove the old thin one...

And replace it with the toytec version...

It slides right off and the new one slides right in.

I was lucky that another member here in town know how to do it. After seeing it done, it's definitely an easy install with the right tools. I've never installed any type of suspension, and feel confident that I would be able to do it....with the tools of course (I can hardly find a screw driver when I need one). Hardest part was compressing the springs, which can be solved by taking them to your local bigo tires or any other shop to compress them for you...
