Trd pro lift question

Toytec lift kit for trd pro 4runners
Hey everybody,
I also installed the Toytec lift kit for the TRDP but wasn't as fortunate as [MENTION=123355]WakeDreams[/MENTION] with having somebody to help. I did manage though to install the whole kit without any spring compressor by following [MENTION=48991]sp8ball[/MENTION] 's Mod Thread: http://www.toyota-4runner.org/5th-g...%92s-ideas-since-mid-2010-a-6.html#post754964. You will need a couple very long prybars though to make it easier on yourself but it is definitely possible.
I went and got an alignment done yesterday and these were the results:

As you can see the caster is still off but not by very much. The official min is 2.6 deg and mine still shows 2.2 deg. I'm convinced though that the toe is more important for the wear on the tires.

Hey Zushwa, I'm in NoVa as well in an INferno TRDP, Ashburn to be exact. Where you running around? What color is your TRDP? I ask because I would like to find a shop in the general area to do work like this as well? Thanks in advance.
I live in Reston and work in the Chantilly area. I'm having Trick Trucks in Chantilly do the install and alignment. I only used Trick Trucks because it's 5 minutes away from my office. It's right off the 50 and 28 if you're coming in from Ashburn.
You might want to contact Nando703 as well. He can do some or all of the installation.

Nice to meet you Josh, I'm Aaron. I was considering using trick Trucks for my SSS grill install with the winch etc because I don't want to risk cutting the plastic on the bumper. My lift is already installed, so if you see me feel free to waive....stop chat whatever. :thumb3: Thanks for the tip on Nando 703. What color is your rig?
Right around $500, for the lift and spacers. Spacers will come off once I go with bigger tires. Next is the roof rack,ladder and sliders. Rotopax, HiLift, and maxtrax, then winch and light overhaul. I'll do as much as I can myself, limited by time and ability, but having a shop right up the road is helpful for everything else.

All I have are the 3/4 front spacers and Spidertrax wheel spacers. Took about 2 hours and with it being a new truck I just went ahead and got an alignment. :cheers:

OK, Couldn't pass up the deal of $170 for the Duratrac 285/70/17, and now have my nittos up for sale. Put them on Craigslist just now for $500....so far, 1 inquiry from some scammer wanting to send me a cashier's check and have a service pick up the tires because he is out of the country and cannot buy them for his friend in time for his bday.... So stupid... these scammers all have the same story.

Just pulled the trigger on the ToyTec lift with the black friday special.
I still don't have my TRD-P yet, and the parts are piling up high, as is my credit card bill!
Now debating on the BFG KO2 275 or 285......
Don't see a lot of tires deals going on. Discount Tire has a special, but it's not much.
Prob will be the 275 tho', I don't wan't spacers or have to cut inner fenders.

Pep Boys has a 15% off sale right now for 2 or more tires. I just picked up a set of BFG KO2 in 275/70R17 for $177/tire.

Don't know if the 2016 TRD Pro's are different than the 2015's but the inner fenders on mine were already cut at the port for the TRD parts install...so go with 285's and let us know! My stock Nitto's still look like they have another 15k left in them and I will be making the same 275 or 285 decision.

I have a set of brand new BFG KO2's 275/70/17 for sale. I decided to go 285's after the lift so these are available and have less than 100 miles on them. Only thing is that I won't ship them. So you would have to pick them up from me in NE PA (19608)

The code appears after you select your tires. I just tried it for BFG KO2 in 285, 275, and 265. The code is ROLLOUT15. You can also choose the $70 off promotion given by BFG but the 15% off code is a much better discount off 4 tires.
It won't even let me get past putting my vehicle in since it says the tires don't go with the vehicle. Does anyone know if pepboys buys used tires?
