It is what it is, you see far more people with jeep rubicons parked at the local mall than people with trd pros

So tell me the ratio or rubicons made to trd pros made and then explain to me why your statement makes any sense...... "we are all far dumber now for having listened to you"

Actually that was a great write up on how vehicles are used 95% of the time. She even said she didn't use any of the capability.

OP hopefully you didn't start this thread expecting to ruffle any feathers because if you did, it backfired spectacularly. It was a good review.

Big deal. Toyota loaned a shopping blogger a Pro. Her review wouldn't have differed much if it had been a Limited or a Trail.

Oh, the humanity! Thought all you off-road roughnecks might want to read this article. Grocery getter, mall queen indeed. Gives accessorizing in the 4Runner context a whole new meaning. Can you order lip stick and nail polish in quicksand?

Holiday Giving & Shopping in a Toyota TRD Pro 4Runner - Three Different Directions

I equate it to seeing Ferrari's on city streets. No way most of them ever leave a valet lot but some people buy them to run on tracks and generally use them as they were designed. Same can be said about any enthusiast type vehicle. Seriously though, do you not go to the grocery store?

I've run across some blogs where a somebody gets some endorsements to create a blog post here and there. This lady takes it to a new level! Whatever SEO magic she uses, it's working. Looks like there isn't a product out there that she won't sell to get some $$$

She likes the RAV4 too!
Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio, cheap diamonds, Korean cosmetics, and chocolate truffles?!?! OH MY!!
After this post, I wouldn't be surprised if she becomes an official site sponsor of this forum!

The blogger, Tammy Litke, looks like a dude in drag... wax the lip before snapping a pic, dumbass.

Read the first sentence and threw up in my mouth a bit. Self important douche, I want that minute of my life back.

If this has any impact it will be that maybe a few extra moms who wouldn't have previously considered a 4Runner are gonna go to the dealer and end up with a limited. Good marketing on Toyota's part.

Eh, to be fair; the TRD Pro is just a factory "off-road starter pack". It's basically what the majority of owners start off with when getting into the off-road scene.

I mean most people throw slightly bigger LT Tires, 5100's (usually with FJ Springs), and some cosmetic stuff (plasti-dip'd parts, Satoshi Grill, ect.)

Toyota just offers it as a factory package that's under warranty. It's pricey, but it is nice that that stuff falls under the 3yr/36k; so that can add value to the price difference for some owners. Not everyone is like Antman where they dish out $40k for a 5th Gen and then dump $20k in goodies the next day. :P

Higher sales now mean more stock and aftermarket parts available later. Even if someone buys it to go all Chrome it still makes it cheaper for everyone. If too many Chrome guys buy something else it lowers overall sales. Makes Toyota rethink vehicle lifespan. If Chrome guy buys a 4Runner now it will eventually hit the used market for 2nd and 3rd owner later. 2nd and 3rd owner also benefit from takeoff parts on Craigslist. Used Creampuff TRD PRO or Rubicons are always appreciated.

Since he has 2011 SR5 I doubt he paid $40k as I paid less than $40k for my Limited that year. Plus he did not spend $20k as I have spent way more than him (less handy) and I'm not nearly that high. :wof:

Everything else completely agree. :withstupid:
