I would like to know what these truly sell for, one day I would like to get a limited and see how doable certain swaps really are

*AWD T-Case/Axles/ECU?
*Memory Seats
*Roll Down Rear Window switch on hatch (would be nice if wired to be active when truck is unlocked
*Auto climate control
*Maybe Keyless entry but at least steal the push button start for kicks

Buying unknown parts is cost prohibitive but so is spending 15k on a salvaged truck now if they go for 5-7k and then some can be recouped then maybe its a viable option. Even if its break even vs. buying things separate would be nice to have al possible parts on hand.

This is only 20 miles from my house, I may go take a look at it. From the pictures I can't see why they estimate over 20K to fix. No airbag deployment, looks like plastic and sheet metal, maybe a quick pull...

Front end collision rebuilds are always a crap shoot.. there are just so much that can go wrong. I was lucky that mine was a rear/side collision. I'm sure a competent mechanic can complete the job with a few migraines though.

I am surprised the airbags didn't deploy with the front end missing, unless the vehicle was parked when it was hit.

That's what I was thinking. It was either parked when hit or it was a soft hit because the bags didn't deploy. It doesn't look that bad honestly. Let us know what you think, I may throw a bid in.

Hard to believe that it took a shot like that in the front and the air bags never deployed? Would have to been a slow impact or possible parked when it happened. I have seen cars come through our shop with far less front end damage with the bags open on the dash.. Hey, if someone here buys it and want's to sell the softex seats out of it let me know!

If these vehicles were wrecked during transport, their is no conventional insurance on them like we have. Toyota is the insurance company. Truck with a scratch they can fix but a truck looking like these they can't fix and sell as new. Easier for them to write off. Then the salvage yard gets it and does their thing to make a few bucks.
