I became a vendor and paid the fee to sell on this forum the folding mirrors kits but decided to move to 4Runners.com because it was easier to navigate just one forum than to keep multiple going and with 4Runners.com being the partner to TacomaWorld it made more since. Now to the comment of you mentioning Old Red Advocating for you and a Taco member being transplanted, well that would be myself you speak of. I will say this once, I was asked multiple times when I was going to convert my tacoma kit to the 4Runner so that the 4Runner community could have a DIY kit. After being asked by many members, I decided why not give it a try. Why not help out another community and give them something that Toyota should have given them in the first place. If you have seen how much I charge for a DIY kit it is only $335. If you have taken the time to do the research, that really is not that much. After I pay actual cost, labor costs, and shipping costs out of that $335, how much do you really think I profit out of that. So no, I’m not in it to get rich off of you guys. I don’t do this as my full time job and I will never do this as my full time job. I work for a county and government for my career! So before you want to tell someone that they are out to take you for your money, maybe you should really look into things. I offer a lot of products and very fair pricing. Which is exactly why I’m giving 19% off for COVID-19 just so people have something to do at home during this time. Give me a break.

Unfortunately I won’t be on there anymore. Not really sure what happened tbh. One mod had an issue and then turned it into an unprofessional circus. Not even listening to their other community members when they wanted to know why I was banned. All they would tell them was it was because I wasn’t a vendor. Which was BS. If that’s the case and they want the best for their community ask someone to be a vendor just like this site did. I will give T4R HUGE props. It may have been a rough start be not being a 4Runner person, but when I first came over and listed some products, they may have I don’t know if deleted my thread is the right term. However, they reached out to me and told me why. I became a vendor right away and they gave me back my thread. All I can say is that did not happen at my long time 4-year Community TacomaWorld. Which is extremely heartbreaking. I think it was more than the vendor status for the one moderator that had it out for me but it is what it is. Life goes on and I’m here now and I could and can be other places too if I want. I will mainly be on my Instagram, Facebook, and website. I’m currently working on a plug-n-play option for you guys to be able to add the puddle lights and turn signals. I have located both the 5-pin and 11-pin connectors. Working with a vendor to get the 5-pin price down at the current moment. That is my last part. Once I am able to do that, I will get these made and have them up on my website for you guys. No splicing or anything. All plug-n-play and OEM connectors.

I find it extremely disturbing that all my threads were deleted and now a few months later here is another person pretty much copying my retrofit and thread after a moderator deletes them. This is the first time I’m actually seeing this. I actually haven’t come on here that often to see this or even know where you have this thread. I didn’t know anything about this situation tbh. I was approached about this by a 4Runner member who asked me if I would make this for the 4Runner community. I mentioned I would look into it and see what I could do. More power to you if you would like to continue making these harnesses. Everyone knows I have a lot on my plate right now so if you would like to do that just let me know. No hard feelings here. Totally professional. Yes you do have to be a vendor to sell on this forum as that is why I became a vendor on here shortly after becoming a member myself. I learned that the hard-way too by having my thread temporary suspended. I became a vendor and then I was able to get my thread back and all was good between me and the mods. No harm done. I was the one who contacted ktjo4x4 about making me a Plug and play harness for a mirror swap. Up until a couple weeks ago she had never even knew this was something any one wanted. I tried contacting old red multiple times about buying one of his harness with no luck. Sometimes things are just what they are old red and nobody is out to rip you off or out to get you. I have no dog in this fight and am just an enthusiast, like many of us here. Ktjo4x4 was just was very responsive to trying to help me find a solution to my problem. Through multiple messages back and forth and looking at wiring diagrams we discussed a what’s the easiest way to get it done so I know she didn’t have your info to base any of this off of. Anyways she’s a sweet lady and old red, don’t be a grump, life’s too short for all this drama. Piece out.

I have no issue with [MENTION=308409]KTJO4x4[/MENTION]. I've seen some of the stuff she is doing on the Tacoma side of things, and I am impressed to say the least! The driver side grab handle was Toyota's oversight and it has been corrected well by KTJO4x4. The HUD project she is working on is awesome. Why a 40K truck or SUV doesn't have that while a 20K Camry does is beyond me.
EDIT: KTJO4x4 was permanently banned by the moderators on Tundras.com, Tacomaworld, 4Runners.com, and Tacoma3G.com for various reasons (Read the relevant threads on those sites. I will not list them here).
Buyer Beware.
I warned the community at the beginning when these products started to be pushed by KTJO and paid the price when my content was deleted by the mods without a just cause. A moderator here defender her saying that I and the community were treating her unfairly. Ultimately time has proven who was correct in voicing concern, and who was acting in the best interest of the community writ large.
EDIT: I would also like to add that KTJO4x4 is now directly copying and producing my wiring harness design I spent time and energy to produce for this community, and passing it off as their own product. Nice to know it's ok for someone else to directly copy your stuff, send it to be made in China, and sell it as their own thanks to the moderators on this site. KTJO4x4 stated on this site they knew about my design and acted "unaware" of it, and went ahead and copied it to make a quick buck anyways. To all who come up with a helpful solution, keep it to yourself, and don't post it on this site.
My issue is with the moderator(s) who deleted my threads saying I had to pay a fee to be a vendor to get them back. My question in my prior post of "Someone want to explain what is going on here" is direct at the mods.
It leaves a sour taste in the mouth when something I made at request by folks on here is deleted by a community leader i.e. a mod, and told to pay up to get it back, then seeing their project made by someone else months later without and "official vendor" sign under their username.
There are multiple instances of threads on this site where people are selling a wiring harness or something they made such as stickers, patches, etc. without being a vendor. Ergo a rule is not being applied consistently. That has and always was my issue. I contacted admin and a few mods asking for an explanation and or copy of the rules stating vendor criteria and why my threads were different. I received responses ranging from completely unrelated to my sent message, to "pay up", to no response at all.
Members on here who contribute should not have to worry about seeing their threads deleted or have to pay a monthly fee to get them back. If this site is in need for money, leave a "donate here" button at the top of the page so we as members can contribute to the hosting fees and upkeep of the site. I would have happily chipped in a few bucks if that was the case.

Several months have gone by since this sheetstorm began. And I still do not have a clear understanding of the criteria for being classified as a “vendor” vs a member who sells low-cost cable kits and instructions. Is there a dollar amount of the item for sale? Is it quantity based?
We all understand a company with employees selling sliders or bumpers or roof racks for hundreds or thousands of dollars being classified as a vendor and having to pay a fee for advertising their wares on the forum. But a member who loves to tinker, comes up with a cool modification, cleans up all the labor intensive cutting and hand soldering by researching OEM connectors to create a plug-and-play cabling solution, writes up a detailed installation guide, give you the part numbers of any additional items you need to buy yourself from a dealer, and offers it to the members for a price that barely covers cost, say $50, you consider this person a vendor?
By the way, what *is* the monthly fee to be a vendor? I’m guessing about $250 per month. You have to sell a lot of items consistently for that to be worth your while. Hobbiest members won’t pay this. But the members who want to actually start a home business, and figure they can sell lots of items or higher cost products, they might want to pay up and try to make profits.
But mods, admins, please spell this out to us somewhere on the site.

Things are so hit and miss here. KJTwhatever-your-name is still doesn't have a vendor tag, and yet is supposedly a vendor and this mirror thread is up?
The guy making KDSS spacers has 11 pages and has sold TONS of kits and isn't a vendor, and yet Old Red who had a ton of how-to's and sells minor wiring harnesses is tagged and harassed.
Basically if you're in with the mods, they don't care lol. I don't even think mods are on the forums any more, no idea how to even see who the mods / admins are.

I’m not here to defend myself by any means at all and I agree 100% with what has been said. I’m also not going to spend a lot of my time talking about this topic because I just simply can’t afford anymore backlash for simply nothing that I have done wrong from the very beginning to deserve this treatment in the beginning. I would like to say that the only reason I would think my mirror page would be left up is because I was a vendor up until June with this forum where I did pay. However, I did get my thread deleted where I was told I needed to pay a vendor fee in order to get my thread back which I had no problem doing because it wasn’t that much per month. I felt it was a cost I needed to pay in order to advertise my product on their site especially since I didn’t have a 4Runner myself.
I appreciate the kind words. Thank You! I plan on making some of the same options available to the Tundra and 4Runner Community’s as well.
I understand your frustration towards the moderator that deleted your thread as I was originally upset myself when that happened to me on here as well. Looking back now, I would rather have my thread deleted by a moderator and reached out to by the moderator and given the opportunity to become a vendor than have all of my accounts deleted and then be banned from all of their forums because you weren’t a vendor or asked to be a vendor. At least you are being given the opportunity at this point in time to either become a vendor or continue on with just being a member of the community. Some of us don’t even have that option at all anymore and that right has been taken away from us. There are many ways you can look at these situations and I guess you can choose to look at it how you would like, but life is too short to be angry and upset. My biggest advice would be to become a vendor at their lowest rate and get your probably amazing thread back. I have no idea what all it includes but I’m sure you have a lot of information that you probably want back. You don’t have to stay a vendor forever if you don’t want to but for the small fee you will be able to move forward.

[MENTION=156753]rayofsi[/MENTION] that project has been completed. Was in the process of doing the 60+page pdf write up with the required parts list from Toyota and steps to do it when my stuff went bye-bye. Needless to say I stopped working on the pdf write up
It’s not easy or quick, and is a lot of work. It’s more mechanical than electrical, but think total disassembly and you get an idea.
