TRD Pro Suspension or Toytec Ultimate

WHats a reasonable price to ask for a set of wheels and tires from the 4runner.

2015 Limited, Bridgestones 245/60/17's

Going to sell these and fund the suspension. Have them on Craigslist and in the classified for $1200 have a local guy on craigslist offer $800.

Not sure what is realistic.

Everywhere is different on these, I put mine up for $1500CAD ($1200US) and had them gone in 2 days and multiple calls on them. I managed to get $1400CAD. I know the consensus here is a lot lower, but just keep in mind your area might be different. Mine were brand new, had the dealer pull them before delivery and still had the TPMS sensors in them.

Edit: Re-read your post and it had the tire size as 17's, Aren't they 20's on the LE? In any case my schpiel was re: the stock 20's on my '15.

Since we are comparing aircraft, I thought I'd throw down as well...













These are pics from my last deployment. Flying doors off in a Blackhawk is pretty awesome. The MI-17 is in an Afghan hangar, and the old jets are all Soviet era Migs sitting in the Afghan boneyard.

Back to the original topic, go for the Toytec lift. I have the BOSS lift myself with LR UCA's, but I'm planning on upgrading to an ICON Stage 6 or King setup.

Thanks for the advice. I do like the 6112 setup wish it was adjustable. On the toytec adjustable I can do less than the 3" correct?

Still mulling the options over. Local place in town will do the 5100's for $550 installed. That being said we have a full truck shop here at work so we have all the tools, and it would be a fun project. Time to drag the teenage son off the computer and get his hands dirty.

Probably give the guy a call back and tell him to get the wheels and tires out of my garage.

The 6112 is adjustable, just like the 5100s.

The Toytec lift package will perform better than the TRD Pro suspension

The standard boss kit doesnt even compare to the 6112 ride quality. It comes with 5100s. The 6112 is much larger and rides much smoother than what is in the BOSS kit.

If I set the 6112 at the middle setting and the 5160 with stock rear springs should that set the truck pretty Level? If I plan on putting lots of camping stuff in the back should I then add aftermarket springs in the rear.

Will it definitely out preform the exreas on the road. I know it will be great on the trails.

Ahh yes, they are hard to adjust on the truck, you need a special spring compressor - although, once they are set you shouldnt be needing to adjust it.

The 0-2 in the rear means the shock is extended and will allow for up to a 2" lift from a spring.

Stock springs are good for up to 200lbs of gear, any more you may want to upgrade.

Can't just leave it at that. Countered back at $900. and we have a deal. Time to pull the trigger on the 6112/5160's I reckon.

the 5160's are going to come with frame mount brackets for the remote reservoirs, but he may be talking about some Billet Bilstein Clamps as pictured.
