Trd Pro Transmission skid rattle?

I have been seeking the source of a rattle/sound on my Pro for awhile. I finally got under it and started tapping around with a rubber mallet.

seems like everything I hit resonates in the flimsy "skid plate" directly behind the front skid.

Is this common? I am fairly confident this is the source. Seems like its unavoidable, being that its made out of a piece of duct work...lol

I’ve put foam tape on mine. Around all fastener points, and especially around the jacking point in the center. Easy fix

Take it off. If the rattle goes away you found your problem. Then look for paint wear on the skid where the rattle might be coming from. Use the tape to pad it as suggested or I hear RCI makes a nice replacement plate.

I have a Pro and a rattle. You check the engine mud guards? those cause an atrocious rattle.

My rattle was the circlips on the ball joint covers on the UCAs
