TRD Push Button Swap into Limited, anyone done it?

I very recently purchased a 2014 4runner limited. I traded in my old baby, my 2005 TRD Offroad Toyota Tacoma.
Good by old friend.

I did all work to it.
Did the Satoshi grill myself. Built the bumper, everything.
Including wiring in a TRD push button start.

Here is my new runner. My brother said it's a dad van it has the new dark brown leather interior. I like it.

My question is, has anyone swapped out the TRD pushbutton into their 5th gen limited?

I would assume that wiring of the push button in either vehicle would be the same. I.e. if you used the ignition +12V in the Tacoma to a certain pin, i'm sure it would be the same to put that +12V from the 4Runner to the same pin.

Glad to hear that you have never spent any money on anything aesthetically pleasing on your rig.

I say to each their own, build what you like. I am new to runners but I modded every piece of the taco when I had it. This is a bit more expensive machine and I plan to build it with the best.

Why don't you start by taking out your current button and seeing what it looks like behind it. Then ask the seller for pictures of the connector on the turd button? I don't see why Toyota would not just use the same exact button for all their cars/trucks, but who knows. Gotta pay to play right?

I think people are confusing the purpose of this thread, I am looking to see if anyone has any knowledge if the button would work as a direct replacement for the factory button.
