TRD Quick rim question

Is the offset/back space any different on the TRD rims than the trail rims ? I don't know if it was a visual thing because of the Nitto AT's that come on the TRD Pro but the tires are the same size 265/70/17 but the looked like they stuck out just a tad further than mine on my 16 TE with the Donlops.

TRD wheels are 7" vs trail wheels are 7.5" wide.

Back spacing I think trails are 4.8something" Google might help.

Where abouts in wisconsin? I am in milwaukee most of the time.

The extra offset is to account for the 12.7 mm difference in width?

I replaced trail rims with TRD rims, which are much lighter.
Trail rims cost much more than TRD rims If you buy.
The driving felts like a much lighter to start and driving with the stock tires.

I am going to replace the tires soon.
But I never pay attentions to those measurements.
Is that matter if I ignore those measures ? Am I wrong ?

I replaced my stock 2015 Trail wheels with TRD Black (see my photo gallery if you are curious to see before and after).

I mounted the stock tires on the TRD's. Blindfolded in the vehicle the difference is nil.

Looks-wise the difference is huge.

I sold my perfect stock wheels to a member here with an SR5 for a really fair price and my cost for the TRD's was still very reasonable.

I love the TRD's.

The original poster is concerning about the offset, backspace etc.
Do I need to take those into account to replace tires with the decent tires mentioned on this forum(i.e. Nitto grappler , BLG T/A ko2 etc ) ?
Or Are those ignorant for the beginners like me ?

No. Just get tires that are close to the original size in width (the 265 part). Or only one size larger or smaller if possible. Other sizes can be made to fit but this is the simplest answer.
