TRD Supercharged $runner mpg?

I have to remind myself to check my tire pressure whenever we have drastic temp changes (which is almost daily in Texas). Last time we had a temp drop it was 50 degrees in one afternoon. Needless to say my tires looked a little low the next morning.
 
In my opinion the two ground plugs are used for tight combustion chambers. Ensuring that the spark always happens where the highest concentration of fuel is. Also, that configuration also unshroudes the spark kernel exposing the entire spark to the combustion chamber.

I like the EK style plugs enough I put them in my Saturn and Harley. Your plugs look normal to me for a plug that's 2 heat ranges colder than standard. The red is fuel additives. And two colder on heat range it won't burn off.

If your mileage doesn't come back with the plug change I'd look at replacing the preCat O2 sensor like mentioned. If anything those three prong plugs may be gapped too tight and that is the cause for a drop in mpg if it does recover with the other plugs back in.

It's hard to read plugs for fuel mix these days. With modern fuel injection and fuels the residue is just not that telling. However if you have bad valve seals you can find oil fouling or if an injector is not doing it's job, or a plug wire is FUBAR you might be able to see a difference between plugs.

Thanks guys for sticking with me on this journey. I noticed in the drive home from work (90% fwy) that it is closed loop normal driving. Hard acceleration into boost changes it to open loop then backing off throttle closes loop then opens it again for a bit then closes again like normal. Thoughts?
 
Ok so I just changed out a a/f ratio sensor with an original one from the dealer this morning, removed my rola rack off the roof and pumped a full tank of 91 as well as set my tires to 45 psi. Let's see how this tank goes since changing the plugs back had no real effect on my mileage. I'm taking the fam to legoland tomorrow and will look at my miles since it will be a long trip.
 
So u were normally getting 250 per tank? I only get about 170 per tank in town. I don't think I could ever get 250 even freeway. I don't drive slow however.

Brother if the mileage dip is because of the NGKs I'll gladly ditch them and go back to ik22's and just change them out religiously at 20k miles the cost on both the ik22's and Ngk bcpr7et's don't justify one over the other for me I only tried the ngks since they were used by 4wheeler and they were said to also be 2 steps colder and less ping from them. But I am not gonna use a plug that is going to axe my mpgs like that.

Tony as always I think the problem is that I don't own your truck! Park it at King Bolt with the keys in it, I'll take goooood care of it!

Seriously though, I have had horrible luck switching to NGK from Denso, nuff said.

yes actually 3/4 tank normally with the supercharger and 7th injector. Trust me I am hard on this truck. 7 days a week I am in boost quite a bit and drive it like I stole it. Here's a bit of proof. I am on the fwy 80-90% of my commute. I used to get over 300miles per 3/4 tank n/a.

haha Jaime! Love this truck just frustrated. I was hoping for a better outcome with the NGKs. I guess I'll just stick to ik22's and replace them every 20k
 
1st tank to LEGOLAND was only used up to almost half tank. I got about 97 miles. Then on the way home the wife suggested me fill up since the traffic on the 5fwy was bad. So I filled up and noticed that I got a little better mileage this time. 89 miles but I still have more than half tank left.less than 3/4 left in tank. I'm going to keep monitoring this and might just replace the o2 sensor as well since I wanted to when I put the new cats in 2015.
 
So here is an update I was sold the wrong a/f sensor by the local Toyota dealer the a/f. Sensor ending in 35060 wa a little short for my truck and I had to take it back for the correct ones. Replaced them both today and reset the ecu by pulling the efi fuse for about 15 mins.

Make sure to all of you that replace your sensors to buy the gaskets as the sensors do not come with them. Also the oem gaskets look much more durable vs. the aftermarket denso gaskets that were given with the cheaper denso replacement I had replaced my original oem ones with a few years ago. I just filled up a full tank on the way home and will keep an eye on my mileage with the 4runner. I'll report back after 2 solid fill ups with these new sensors.

Interesting, I didn't know this. I replaced both sensors with denso awhile back but didn't pay attention to the gaskets.

Gaskets were junk. And crumbled after I took them off the oem gaskets look more robust and are aluminum with paper element.
 
If your mpg comes back I'd be interested to see what happens putting the NGKs back in for another test.
