TREK Lighting Group Buy

What's the general consensus of these led's? Maybe not the build quality of Rigids, but they are substantially less expensive. I know you get what you pay for... Does anyone have first hand experience with these?

I think I'm going to jump on it for some new reverse lights as my craptastic fogs that I have under the rear bumper are pretty much useless.

Troy plans on doing a group buy here too around the first week of next month when the hanma group buy is over.

Check out his thread in the accessories section.

He's got some pictures up on the 3rd page over there..and he seems like a nice fellow, so I'd bet if someone wanted to see more he'd gladly put them up.

I like the price point of these, and they look pretty damn bright as well...so I can't beat them with of baseball bat...that's ok. Nothing takes the place of Ridgid quality no doubt, and great customer service as well....but he's not comparing to them. It's pretty cool he's offering a group buy, and there's a whole month to get in, so I hope some of us can take advantage.

There are a reasonably priced bright LED lamp ..not for everyone, but I'm willing to take a chance. I just don't see the need to spend boo-koo bucks for side lights and camper lights.

Group buys always come at the wrong dang time. If I wasn't in the middle of getting a new shotgun, I would be all over this. Hope he does well.

Under $400 for a 42 inch light bar is a great deal. Looking forward to hearing your take on the quality etc Pat... I'm there with FactoryRide... got a special edition 10-22 coming that burned up my play budget.

Will have to add the vendor to my 4Runner resource list though.

Keep us posted!

Glad to hear you guys have builds going on...

Just finished my Saiga .223 :usa:....so the toy budget is in rebuild mode too.

I've blown some bucks on junk LED's (but in fairness, the technology has gotten so much better) ...so I cant wait to see these. I'll certainly report back once they come in

I'm trying to get ahold of a Benelli Super Black Eagle 2 in max4 camo. Preferably a left handed version if possible. Left handed is looking like a special order for around here.

May have to take you up on that....:lightsaber:

Damn, dirty shame ain't it?......I worked hard and payed taxes since I was 14....only freebie I ever drew was 2 weeks of unemployment in my whole life...never stole, never been in jail, and always tried to do the right thing.

Now they take half my paycheck and give to some lowlife selling crack , wearing 800$ sneakers, and sittin' on their lazy a$$es playing xbox all day while scamming the government for food stamps and welfare....:offtopic:

and to top it off I'll be a f'in felon by this time next year....

It'll probably just be easier to move out this libtard state.....I think I can still "whistle Dixie" with the best of them...maybe move in with Antman...:wink2:

You'll be the best looking trailer in his driveway! :tea: and all those cupholder mods you'll end up with.. doorstep cupholder; tongue-storage box cup holder; awning cupholder; outdoor kitchen cupholder... the list goes on!... not to mention the LED mods to do to them afterwards :clock:

The company I do advertisement for, also dabbled in the LED market. It looks like everyone is getting their bars from the same manufacturer. Hanma, Totron, trail leader, trek light, all the same bars. I've seen these in person (they have a 10in DR on display at the shop), I would say they're not as bright as rigids, but they are super bright. Build quality isn't the same, but for the price, you can't go wrong. The only thing that I did notice was how hot they got after a few seconds. Definitely something to think about, if you plan on having them on for extended periods of time.

Bumparooskie

Troy's getting ready soon to pull the trigger on this GB...and I think we're over 50 so there was another price break...looking forward to this one for sure!

Do you guys think the FloodPods would be any good as rock lights, or would it be overkill?

I was thinking about getting a couple of them (one for each corner), but then I was also thinking that those waterproof LED strips might be better for this purpose since it would light up the entire underside more evenly (and be a lot easier to mount them neatly tucked away).

I can't think of any where else to mount these on the 4runner, but I really don't want to miss out on this deal either!

Troy is winding down operations....if you're gonna do it, better do it...according to Troy over on Mud...
