So my though process was the newer JBL unit can play 6 mp3 CDs and also has 6 pin connector in the back for which I bought a BT/aux unit. However ran into two issues when I uninstalled the 04 JBL HU.
All harness connectors (three) including the 6 pin are occupied, but the real bummer is that face of the new unit JBL HU does not fit via the trim bezel, it is much wider
I am hoping that I still have the 6 PIN Y connector somewhere in storage otherwise I will leave it all hanging and order one via prime.
shitty day but on the bright side it was only $30, along with 2019 Tacoma OR front struts and rear shocks
