Hi, I installed the Toytec Ultimate front COs and rear OME 1.5" springs (895E). Works great and no rubbing until I installed 1.25" wheel spacers. Now the front tires rub on the little nubby plastic piece that stick down in the front of the fender well. My question is- is there a trick to trimming these things? There is nothing behind them and it seems pretty straight forward but just wanted to check here. I don't want them hanging loosely in there and not sure what purpose they serve (if any). I have searched and found nothing that addresses this. Can anyone help me out? Thanks, Dan.

Anyone? I can't be the only one with this issue. It is the plastic "cup" thing that sticks down right in front of the front wheels....layball:
What I did is cut right across at the bottom where the nubby thing bend towards the front. Then I poke a small hole and slide a wire through it and pull the plastic shield inward and tie it off somewhere. :flame:

Yea you definitely have to cut it. Are you lifted? Tire size?

3" front and 2" rear. Those are 285/70/17. Trimming is typically needed to fit those size tires

No idea why the pic is sideways...
I cut a slit on my front inner plastic in front of the wheels. Nothing fancy. Just a slit and tie it inward and call it a day. The driver side mud flap had to be tied back a bit too.

Stock tires with spidertrax spacers and lift...tires barely rubbed the inner fender. Its easy to move...

I run the Toytec Ultimate lift, along with 285/70/17's on 17x9 wheels. All I did was undo the screws on the bottom of the liner where it meets the front bumper, there's like three on each side I believe. After that move the liner forward in the brackets that hold the liner make new holes and screw it back in. Should give you 2-3" of room and no trimming required. The liner is quite soft so you can use the screws to make new holes, all it takes is some elbow grease!

The wheel spacers give a wider radius when turning now and will rub more. We just trim the little plastic piece. Some spend the time and reverse dimple it toward the fender well. As far as the body mount goes, I cut it back as far as needed and taper it off. You don't HAVE to weld in a plate to box it in, but it looks more finished if you do. I believe relentless fab makes the body plates for $20.
