Trouble Shooting/advice - Icon coil overs / sway bar still rubbing

I installed my Icon Remote Resi coilovers about a month ago and everything is working fine with the exception that I still get rubbing on the drivers side bracket that attaches to the radiator.

I have checked the following already-
1. I installed the 3 washer/spacers that drop the bracket
2. I have the brackets that attach the sway bar pointing toward the front of the vehicle. Left=drivers/ right=passenger both point forward.
3. The reallocation spacers move the sway bar forward






plenty of clearance on the passenger side.

Maybe I didn't torque/clamp down the reallocation spacers and sandwich the remote resi brackets enough and that had the sway bar hanging a little low....

Also when I originally removed the brackets that attach to the radiator, I didn't keep track of which came off passenger vs. driver.... they look identical... is there a difference and if so how do I tell which is driver vs. passenger....

Any suggestions or anyone else run into the same problems?

[MENTION=85832]Howard35[/MENTION] did you ever fix this? Having the same issue. I dropped the radiator bracket a bit using spacers but it still seems to rub.

Brackets are different. Pretty sure they are labeled if you look closely.

I did the same and the spacers helped a little but I was never able to keep it completely from rubbing. I ended up trading my 2011 Limited for a 2015 Trail, so sorry I can't give you any updates either.

Thanks I called Icon yesterday and their advice was to use the spacers. I may take a grinder to the bracket next time I have the truck on the lift. The rubbing is annoying but its nothing thats critical.

Late to the party here. I got the same response from Icon with the same result when I went through this a few months back. I ended up notching out the bracket and moving on. All good.

How much gap are you getting on the driver side radiator support after installing your spacer(s)? I had to use 2 of the Icon thick washer/spacers which is about 3/8" total. I am only getting maybe about 1/4 " of a gap now between the sway bar and the driver side radiator support bracket now. My passenger side is fine so i did not put in any spacers. I have a 2016 TEP w/o KDSS.

Not sure if the 1/4" gap is sufficient if there is flex or or if 'm driving into a dip or bump hard.

I spent the whole day yesterday tweaking this. Used about two spacers and grinded down the support to the point where I actually exposed a hole since the support tube is hollow. It's still rubbing :cry2:

Update! Had a friend sit in my truck while I had an eye on the suspension. Can confirm the swaybar is no longer rubbing against the support bracket. It turns out my driver side uniball appears to be binding and causing a lot of noise.

I am not certain as I didn't use the washers, I notched my support bracket out which yielded more than 1/4 clearance. Seems like most folks are successful utilizing the washers, whether that be 2 or 3 I am unsure.
