Trouble Starting

My 2000 Toyota 4Runner is having difficulty starting consistantly.

I checked the battery and the terminals both are clean and working.

I took a video of the intermittant starting and am hoping that someone will have a suggestion as to what may be wrong.

Take a look at the video and let me know what you think.

I appreciate the help!

The loud "Click" is me turning the ignition key and I suppose the starter engaging without a crank.

It will start up perfectly a little less than half of the time and has been doing it since the beginning of the summer.

It has never gotten to the point where I couldn't eventually start it .

It will eventually get there....

I thought that is what that was....check out this thread here.......

There are few things that cause this.....low voltage situations and worn starter contacts.

I would suggest replacing the solenoid contacts and plunger.

Thanks

Thanks for the link! I exchanged the starter and the link was critical in the job.

I really appreciate you turning this one up for me!
