I recently started rebuilding a 91 4runner 3.0l 3vze with a blown head gasket. I did a full valve job and cleaned all other parts very well. I am at reassembly and have the heads back on, the intake mani reinstalled and the fuel rail connected. I timed the engine very carefully and i think its right. The marks all line up after hand cranking a couple times. I went to do a compression test and
1. The whole right side reads zero. The left side except for cylinder 4 reads 100psi Are the valves open?? Is my timing off?
2. When I pulled 1 of the spark plugs on the left side, the gasket holding the threads came out attached to it. Now I can only use that plug and I can't comp test it. What do I do?
Also, the last time I tried to turn the engine over all power cut out. Fuse? Is my stArter drawing too many amps? I reset the "breaker" and then did the same thing again.
Any help is appreciated
Thanks mike
