Nice lookin rig! :thumb3: those 265's should should fill in those wheel wells very nicely! Good choice on the BF at's, you wont be dissapointed! I was just down in the bay last weekend for a graduation, thankfully no rain! Enjoy your "new" runner! : cheers:

Suspension

After way to much research I decided to go with Toytech coil-overs upfront and LC 8 wraps coils in back with Tokico Trekmaster Land Cruiser Shocks. It was not a cost issue it was a "wife" issue. I wanted to make sure not to piss her off with a harsh ride. (For the younger guys on here; key to a happy life is a happy wife)

So picked everything up early last week

Install

For anyone in the bay area that wants the best mechanic ever give Cliff @ Diablo Offroad And Performance a call. He is hands down the best mechanic I have ever worked with. I brought the rig in for him to check out before we installed the lift.

Only bummer about the lift was I could not get the rear sway bar back on afterwards. So my back end feels loose.

Here are 2 photos of the Stock coil vs. the LC 8 Wrap

Suspension results

Suspension:
Front- Toytec 600 lbs Adjustable Coil-Overs
Rear- Land Cruiser 8 wrap coil springs & Tokico Trekmaster LC Shocks
1" Toytec Diff Drop

So parked in the same spot I measured before and after street to top of wheel well.

Before:

Front Driver: 34 1/8"
Front Pass: 34"

Rear Driver: 34 1/4"
Rear Pass: 34"

After:

Front Driver: 38 1/2"
Front Pass: 38 3/8"

Rear Driver: 40"
Rear Pass: 40"

Total lift for Toytech coil-overs = 4 1/2"
Total lift for LC 8 wrap coils = 6"

I did some checking around and it looks like my suspension was sagging by 2" all around.... So if you adjust the above #s I got:

Adjusted for sagging suspension

Total lift for Toytech coil-overs = 2 1/2"
Total lift for LC 8 wrap coils = 4"

Nice!

it looks like your 4runner got longer! ;):

oh! and taller! Im digging it! the back will settle unfortunately. You may think you want it shorter in the back but when it settles you are gonna wish it was taller! LOL

oh yeah,

So Hows the wife like the ride???

Well I sold her on the fact that I was putting a 3" lift on... I came back with 4-6" and I was in the dog house for a few hours. She thinks that it drives 1000% times better then it did. Wants me to get new wheels and tires. Can't ask for much more!

Not to critique your ride but why don't you go ahead and adjust the adjustable front coil overs to get rid of that rake you have? - Unless you wanted the 2" rake.

looks good. glad to hear the wife is happy, and obviously rewarding by giving the ok to get new wheels and tires

Shoes and Socks

What Tires and wheels should I get?

My BFG AT KO 265/75/16 did not come in today and I got to thinking again and wanted to know what other people think I should put on my 4runner.

I am thinking Tires 265/75/16:

1. BFG AT KO
2. Nittos Terra Grabber
3. Goodyear DuraTrac
4. Toyo Open Country

Wheels:

1. PROCOMP 8069-6883 16x8
2. TRD 09 FJ 16x8
3. AR Steel
4. Stay with stock

What do you guys think? What are the best tires and wheels?
