Trying to fix P0446

Ok I got this code over the winter on my 2002 and it seemed a new cap was the fix. But as months passed it came back. I changed pcv valve a while ago. Just the other day I replaced the charcoal canister with a good low mileage used one. All was well till this morning when lights came back. Very disheartening ! What's my next course of action? The two valves under hood. I found the canister purge valve but what's the other one I would need? Thanks.

Ok thanks. Read a through those. Ordered the hose kit and new purge valve under hood. Does anyone know the name of second valve under hood? Rock auto has 3 listed 2 of which are at canister. Im pretty sure that's wrong.

I also ordered the silicone hose kit, yesterday as a matter of fact. I am getting the P0446 code. I have 1 new valve to install. I am waiting for the hose kit to arrive and replace all the vacuum hoses and check/ replace the valve at the same time. Also wouldn't hurt to check the canister itself for cracks. This code is sooooo annoying but I guess it could be worse; at least this code doesn't affect how the vehicle runs.
Can someone remind me as to why the VSC lights also come on with the CEL?

Well went to,local advanced auto to checknandovclear codes and I'm still getting p0440 and p0446. But Also now getting c1223 and c1246. Abs malfunction. I've had this months ago but I cleared and never came back. Not much info on it. In addition to all this my abs light comes on intermittently but always goes off while driving. I have read this could be dirty abs sensors.chimpy what new valve are you installing?

Charcoal canister purge control valve. I am going to use a 9 battery and test the valve at the canister and the one under the hood. I am betting it is the valve at the canister.

Replaced just about every vacuum hose today with silicone intake kit. Also did new pcv valve and grommet and one new vsv valve. Just ordered the second one. We will see what happens.

Did you check the seam on the canister? The adhesive cracks and causes enough of a leak to throw a code...very common problem.

Just put a good low mileage used one on the other day. Was near perfect. I did notice that some hoses were loose. Also not sure if this would cause the code but the nipple and threaded plug on my Airaid elbow were way loose. Put on some Teflon tape and tightened.

Absolutely! This should always be number one. It's also the cheapest fix with some 5 buck JB weld.

Well luck ran out. All 3 lights came on again and I could feel my blood boiling. So pissed. I replaced all vacuum hoses , charcoal canister and both vsv valves in engine bay. Also did new pcv and grommet. So I'm at a loss here. Maybe I'll jus do some electrical tape over lights. Anyone have advice? Trying not to go to dealer.

New OEM gas cap? Also I saw you replaced the charcoal can with a used one. I would check all the bottom edges for hairline cracks. If the light just turned on then it's a very, very small leak.
