Tundra 5100's

I've been doing a lot of looking around and can't seem to find what I'm looking for.

I have the SS 1.2a, which has Tundra Bilstein 5100's up front (the ones with 5 notches). Currently I'm on the second notch from the bottom. Does anyone ride on the top notch, or close to the top notch and how much lift does it provide? Can you set them to the top notch without shredding the cv's immediately and keep the alignment in check with the stock UCA's?

im running on the 3rd notch, i still want and need more lift, with all the weight im gonna have, armor and winch, so im gonna be putting mine on the 4th notch, i know i have room and wont be busting CVs, but i will need to get some wheel spacers soon

I run mine on the 3rd notch with a heavy front bumper and still spit grease. Any time you adjust your suspension for lift you should redo your alignment.

I also ride on the 3rd notch with full skids, front bumper, and winch. Lift could be a little higher for my taste but I've never spat grease from my CV's. Actually my CV angle is pretty damn awesome how my truck sits now and probably has a lot to do with the lack of CV's that I've broken to this point. (knock on wood). I think 4th notch would be OK and I have heard of a member on here running the 4th notch but I forget his username. Could do 3rd notch with a small top plate spacer?

Are you using TRD Tundra springs?
What is your lift height now?
What lift amount are you hoping to achieve?

The Tundra strut has about a half inch more up travel than a stock 4Runner. That said, above the fourth notch you'd start suffering I'll handling due to too much spring pre load. BTW, my comments only apply if you aren't running additional weight up front.

Technically you start sacrificing ride quality every notch you go up as you preload the spring. I used to run on the 2nd notch and it was noticeably different than the 3rd notch, IMO. Just depends what your willing to live with..... I personally agree though, I would not go to the 4rth notch, I'd throw in top plate spacers instead.
