Tundra brake upgrade

Yeah, that's not a specially great deal, except for having them powder coated. I am guessing that they will reject your core if you send them back different calipers. Advance didn't care.

I got mine at advance auto using their typical 40% off coupons and ended up getting both calipers for around $90. Brembo rotors from Amazon and pads from Napa and I came away for around $200 for everything.

Well We dont have an advance here in CA. I checked the local stores and they range from 80-90 dollars per caliper. I bought the rotors fo 110, and the bendix pads for 27 bucks. So in all im in it around 250 after the core refund.

I could have got it cheaper if I went with cheaper rotors.

I dont know how you got brembo rotors and pads for 110 bucks that is hard to believe.. Any links?

Thats still over 100 fr both.. Nelson said he got rotors, calipers and pads for under 200.

I got my whole set up for around $200 also from Advance. But I buy a lot if stuff there so they always hook me up. They price match so they just say I got a price of $X.XX somewhere else and then they "match" it. But it keeps me coming back so it's a win win.

well.. I just placed an order.. Thank OP for the link.. I hope it turns out well.. I hate red calipers but for the price ill deal with it. I hope it does not turn pink overtime.

I also hope this upgrade is worth it.. Because my brakes are fairly new and I only feel a slight shimmy on hard braking.

I also emailed them to make sure they are the 13wl stamp mark. I don't think they will accept the cores since they are not the same.

tundra upgrade

i paid 98 bucks shipped for the powerstop rotors and powerstop ceramic pads and 60 bucks each for the calipers. they were originally 80 bucks but i have been accumulating reward bucks that gave me 40 bucks to use towards them.

so about 225 to 240 with brake cleaner and fluid for the bleed. which by the way is so well worth the money. honestly, they made a big difference.

as far as cores, i just tossed my old ones back in the box and they were ok with it. i even mentioned they weren't the same.

Yes I emailed them also about 13wl.. and its confirmed that they are stamped.

As far as im concerned.. cores are cores.. Just like any other, batteries starters,

They just need something back to rebuild. it goes back to the mfg. not the seller.
