tundra coils

well seems like you can get them faster than i can. i have visited my 12th yard already and nothing. i drove an hour because the guy at the yard told me they had some still on the truck. i show up, wrong coils. :wtf:
 
[MENTION=96863]01thunder[/MENTION], even if you get these, id still put the coils on the 5100s, you will be happy you did. you have to take them appart anyways to put the 4runner top plate on as the tundra bolt patter is different on the top plate with the studs so yeah may as well put the coils on the nicer new struts... just my .02
 
i have my old struts. for a few coin more i could break them down and install the new top plate from my old struts on these tacomas, that would make things eassier for everyone.
 
yes i did, sorta, my father inlaw works for a dealer and he got them for me but then i switched to the 3" eibach lift coil from toytec

Either use your stock coils, some 881s, or some eibach coils from Toytec. Any of these can get you 2" of lift with those 5100s.

ok. what position should i put the perch on for each choice so i get level or slight rake, back to front, as i don't want to use spacers?

i finished installing the billies today and since i haven't found and tun coils, used my stock coils set on the 4th groove. i was at 34" from ground to bottom of flare. although it looks much higher, it is 35.25 front, 36.25-36.5 rear. when i find tundras, i'll just swap.

906's/billies. i noticed today that the front has sagged a bit and now i have more rake. i already got it aligned so if i raise the spring to the 5th groove, the alignment will be off.

I think it looks pretty good IMO, I can't imagine they sagged too much
 
Hey kids. I have a buddy who has a set of tundra trd springs off of an 07. Sound like these are the way to go.

What is the expected lift for this springs on an 07 v6 sr5?
 
I have a set of Tundra TRD coils and Bilsteins for sale - I thought I posted a thread on this in the classifieds section here. Don't remember the paint code markings on mine offhand though. PM me if interested.
