turn signal wiring question

Hi everyone. Quick question. I recently suffered some front end damage. I replaced the bumper cover, turn signals and fog lights. I noticed yesterday when I was installing the new bulbs that the passenger side turn signal connect (the part where the bulb plugs in) is broken and wont hold the bulb. Any ideas on how to replace the part? Is that a cable section that can be disconnected and new one installed? I seriously want to avoid the dealership for parts but will break down if need to. Also, the fog light connector was completely severed, also on the passenger side.

You might be able to find a generic replacement socket that will work at an auto parts store, and splice it into the wiring harness.

I thought about that. A guy at a parts store warned against splicing into lighting wires, especially the fog lights due to fire hazards. but it might be a way as a temp fix.

A well done splice should not be an issue.
